Children's Program

Empowering young children through purposeful play and martial arts fundamentals.

Instructor working with young children at Colorado Academy of Martial Arts

Using purposeful play and engaging activities, the children's program at CAMA focuses on developing balance, awareness, and self-direction. Our approach empowers children to feel more in control of their bodies and emotions, building a foundation of confidence and discipline that extends into every area of their lives.

Led by Laurel C. Roemer, who has been directing the children's program since 1993, this program creates a nurturing yet structured environment where young children discover the joy of movement, the power of focus, and the value of respect for themselves and others.

The children's curriculum is specially designed for younger students, using age-appropriate activities and games that teach fundamental martial arts concepts while keeping children engaged and excited to learn. Every class builds on the previous one, creating a progressive journey of growth and discovery.
